Many old and picturesque houses line the large stone fountain in the middle of Ernen's village square. Their foundations are mostly made of stone and adorned with detailed frescoes, while the upper floors are constructed of wood and decorated in other ways. Together, they create a truly picture-perfect scene! The village's appearance has already been awarded the Wakker Prize and is of national importance. A stop at one of the village pubs is definitely worthwhile!

Just ten minutes' walk from the village center of Bettmeralp, the barrier-free Bettmersee is a special idyll in the Aletsch Arena holiday destination. The mountain pasture offers quick restaurant services and typical homemade takeaway products (yoghurt and cheese), an excellent base for tours of any kind

Alpe Devero is a pearl of the Lepontine Alps, now famous and therefore busy in summer and on weekends, watch out for the road when it is narrow, campers and bulky vehicles go up. The climb is a pleasure, as is a break at the Alp and a visit when possible.

Excellent starting point for various excursions, but also an ideal rest area for rest/refreshment

The mountain above is reflected so beautifully in the early morning, but the lake also shines beautifully red in the evening when the sun sets. Swimming is probably not forbidden - but you shouldn't expect Mediterranean temperatures at 2000m altitude
