Originally a Byzantine monastery complex (around 1418), severely damaged in an earthquake in 1852, partially renovated recently (2022). It also serves as a place of pilgrimage, especially annually on June 13th (Feast of St. Anthony). Late Romanesque/Gothic architecture, approximately 13.5 x 6 meters in size, and fairly well preserved. The path leading there is partly impassable or difficult to access (depending on the season). Frescoes and wall paintings have been preserved inside: for example, a double-headed eagle (associated with the Kastrioti family coat of arms) and a horsewoman figure, interpreted as Mamica Kastrioti (sister of the national hero Skënderbeu). Free beach camping by a beach bar. Super friendly owners took over the beach bar 2 weeks ago. Have showers and toilets. See google maps.

Built in the 12th century, it was part of the Franciscan monastery of Santa Clara. Currently being restored, see the fresco (a two-headed eagle, the emblem of Albania)

There is now, June 9, 2024, a brand new bridge in that place, see photo. So no problem, you can take this route without hesitation.
