Beautiful ridge path from La Brinta to Roc d'Orzival

The hike from Lac de Moiry to Col de Torrent is great and the descent to Evolène is largely rideable. Top tip!

When planning your trip, always keep the post buses in mind. You can easily travel to the reservoir (from Zinal) or from La Sage to Arolla, for example, by post bus. As always, take a break on the pass and take your time. When there are clouds, there are always windows where they break away and reveal a wonderful view.

From La Brinta to Roc d'Orzival the distance on the ridge is almost 3.5 km All difficult passages near the rocks are secured by chains. On one side of the ridge is the busy Val d'Anniviers and on the other side the small, uninhabited side valley of Val de Réchy. The Vallon de Réchy is a strictly protected nature reserve. The highlights of the valley are the raised moor of Ar du Tsan with its waterfall, the mountain lake Le Louché and the numerous wild animals which live there in complete tranquility.

Good starting point for various hikes - thanks to the train you gain a few meters in altitude. Beautiful flowers that bloom in May and June.

Col de Torrent 2916 m Mountain and alpine hiking This is another good, big pass that leads from the Val d’Hérens into the Val de Moiry. It lies on a high, wide ridge between Pointe du Prélet and Sasseneire. The path is very attractive and offers a great panorama.
