The impressive Moiry dam, 148 meters high, dominates the rear part of the Moiry valley. When you drive along the 8 km long country road from Grimentz to the dam, you are first impressed by the visual appearance of this mass of concrete. But as soon as you reach the top of the wall, you discover a breathtaking panorama. The Moiry dam and its surroundings are only accessible in summer when weather conditions allow the road to be opened. However, once the summer begins and the snow melts, it is possible to get there on foot. All technical data for the Moiry dam, the Mottec and Vissoie power stations and the Forces Motrices de la Gougra hydroelectric power station are available on the website www.gougra.ch.
