Enjoy the breathtaking view of the largest glacier in the Alps, which is 20 km long. The tongue of the Aletsch glacier can be admired here without much effort. In the traditional Hotel Belalp, the view can be enjoyed even better with a meal or a coffee. The Schmadri Hut at 2,260 metres is an unattended refuge at the end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It has eight beds that must be reserved in advance. There is running water about 30 metres south of the hut.
