The park in front of the museum is really beautiful, with statues representing different disciplines. You can compete with Usain Bolt on the 100m track, and there are lights that show his speed.

Hôtel de Ville de Lausanne / Town Hall, Lausanne Overlooking the picturesque Place de la Palud from its bell tower, the imposing building of the Town Hall still houses the city administration. The Lausanne architect Abraham de Crousaz built it between 1673 and 1675 on the foundations of the hotels of the time. An important centre of life in Lausanne, it combined several functions: as a political place, it was both the seat and illustration of municipal power; it is an economic place, hosting the wheat market in its halls on the ground floor; a place of defence, the bells of its bell tower warn of danger. Much admired since its creation, the Town Hall is the most interesting achievement of Vaud architecture of the 17th century. Its main façade offers a particularly subtle composition. While the alignment of the bays and their cornices creates a striking and explicit horizontal effect, the vertical axis marked by the sculptural portal and the tower is implicitly reinforced by the rhythm of the windows, which become increasingly closer together as they approach the centre, and by the rhythm of the arcades, which become increasingly narrow. The roof, on the other hand, takes up the aesthetics of regional farmhouses in its shape, completing an original silhouette with a provincial touch. When it was completely renovated in 2013, the Olympic Museum was equipped with the latest computer and audiovisual technology. The permanent exhibition presents the origins of the Games, the competitions and the sporting spirit through numerous screens and objects, as well as the equipment of the most famous athletes. Thanks to the numerous interactive tools, children can put themselves in the shoes of an athlete for their greatest pleasure. Temporary exhibitions, a park with numerous works of art and a panoramic restaurant with a view of Lake Geneva and the Alps complete the offer of this unmissable leisure destination in Lausanne. Hello, I am surprised by the name used for your route called weinroute. This is located in the heart of Lavaux. Wine region of the canton of Vaud in French-speaking Switzerland. We speak french. So why not title the route vineyard route as in the photo. I don't think the routes in Bordeaux have names in German!

The Lavaux vineyard terraces are located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. They were built by monks in the 12th century and cover approximately 800 hectares. The terraces are built on steep slopes and are supported by stone walls that provide protection against erosion. The area is known for its beautiful views over Lake Geneva and the Alps, and for the production of quality wines, mainly white wine made from the Chasselas grape. The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces are also included in the UNESCO World Heritage List for their cultural and landscape value. The terraces are still worked by local winegrowers and the tradition of winemaking has been continued here for centuries. Visitors can explore the Lavaux vineyard terraces via hiking trails and enjoy wine tastings at local wineries. The area attracts many tourists every year who come to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the delicious wines.

The Via Francigena also passes here, more precisely the bs2 stage from Lausanne to Villeneuve: From Lausanne and the port of Ouchy, you stay close to the lake until Lutry. We then gain altitude to cross the magnificent Lavaux vineyard, listed as a UNESCO heritage site. The view is breathtaking over the lake to the Alps! We then go back down through the town of Vevey to reach the lakeside again and then the town of Montreux.

The small market in front of the town hall was built as early as the 9th century and gained in importance over time - a covered market hall is documented in the 14th century, which served as a warehouse, shelter for the merchants and as a weighing hall for the goods. It was on the so-called "Place Palud". The large influx of people soon forced more space, whereupon - after a fire in the Palud district - a new market hall, partly made of masonry, was added in 1415. This was used for public gatherings and was converted into the town hall in the late 15th century. The city council met there for the first time on January 24, 1469; La Palud became the administrative center of the city. Today's town hall was built on the foundations of the previous building between 1673 and 1675 by the architect Abraham de Crousaz.

The building, which was originally erected in the 12th century, immediately catches the eye. After an eventful history, it was given its neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th century and converted into a hotel. Even today it is still a **** hotel. https://www.chateaudouchy.ch
