전시 해안 방어의 일부로 건설된 옛 Flekkefjord 해안 요새의 터널과 폐허. 콘크리트 잔해와 통로는 이 유적지의 군사적 역사를 엿볼 수 있게 합니다. 경로상의 흥미로운 정류장입니다.

The Blåfjell mines were in operation from 1863 to 1876. Titanium-containing iron ore was mined here. The ore from the mine was brought to Rekefjord. In total, around 80,000 tons of ore were extracted from the mines. A railway line was built from Blåfjell to Rekefjord. From 1915 to 1919, molybdenum ore was mined here, which is needed to harden and refine steel. During the First World War, there was naturally an increased demand, making mining in this remote area worthwhile. At the end of the war, the market collapsed and the mine was abandoned. Today, you can look into three tunnels from the large cave. The small fence might, however, tempt you to take a more detailed inspection :-)

The path to the caves is extremely challenging and dangerous. Good footing and surefootedness are required. This route is only suitable for experienced hikers. Heed the recommendations and warnings on the signs. You should avoid the path to the caves even if it's slightly damp.

All in all a really worthwhile hike

Sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are definitely necessary here! You can take the blue route to Brufjell or the more exposed red route. However, in my opinion, the level of difficulty hardly differs, but the red route has more prospects. The path to Brufjiellhålene is very reminiscent of a via ferrata. Here you climb over wet rocks into the abyss, absolutely NOT recommended for the inexperienced! Anyone who makes it down safely will be rewarded with a great backdrop. This was created by the former glaciers.
