When you step off the Waxholm ferry at the quay, you have only to walk about 100 meters up the gravel road to find all of Rånö's facilities. In summer this includes a grocery store, a restaurant and accommodation.

A lovely little bay on the south coast of Ålö. If you're following the SAT and lose sight of the markers on this section, not to worry, just follow the coast, you'll soon pick it up again.

The Ålö Bridge is the only public land crossing between the very close, but seperated islands of Utö and Ålö. If you continue onto Utö you're entering the military range, and must keep strictly to the gravel road until you reach the northern boundary of the range.

Drinkwater is available from a manual pump.

From here, you can take a boat to Rånö - Nåttarö - Nynäshamn. Arriving to Nynäshamn, you'll have the commuter train station just about 100 meters away, heading for Stockholm City.

This beach has toilets (dass), fireplaces and during summer a wonderful possibility to take a swim.

This is the place! Sandy beach and a very nice forest road to get here.
