Small pass, ideal as a starting point for hikes

Wide road from Vallorbe, lots of traffic, the first km is pretty steep. Juraparc near the col, with some goats and cute alpacas next to the road! An easier alternative to the Mollendruz to get into the Vallée de Joux.

You can get a coffee at the bike/cross-country ski rental shop in the parking lot. It's worth it.

Avoid at the end of the day between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. because it is very popular with cross-border workers who drive fast.

The Col de Mollendruz is a road pass located at an altitude of 1,180 metres. It is also the starting point for many hikes and a great place to admire the Alps.

Pass accessible by forest roads at an altitude of 1306 m. From the south you can access the pass from Montricher or L'Isle, from the north you have to turn right just before the Col de Mollendruz in a large car park. The ascent from the south is almost completely forested and is especially recommended on hot summer days. However, there are ramps of around 15% gradient.
