10월 1, 2025, Brecca Primeval Landscape
It's certainly rustic back here, but don't expect a primeval landscape without human traces. There are roads, paths, alpine huts, livestock, etc. Nevertheless, the landscape is worth seeing.

If you love nature and want to discover the rich diversity of pre-Alpine flora, the Moléson botanical trail is a must. This thematic trail starts from Plan-Francey, accessible by the Moléson-Village funicular, and winds along the eastern slope of the Moléson, passing by the Gros-Moléson chalet and the Albeuve valley. Along the way, you will be able to identify more than 200 plants thanks to labels placed by a botanical association. It offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. An ideal way to combine your love of botany with that of outdoor activities.

The Passage à l'île d'Ogoz is a natural causeway that connects the continent to the island of Ogoz in Lake Gruyère. The island is home to the ruins of two medieval castles and a restored chapel, which you can discover after crossing the lake on foot. The passage is only accessible when the water level is below 668 m. So check the conditions before leaving.

Maybe not ideal to reach on a Nordic walking tour because the path is very rocky and rooty, but it's still nice. 😉

6월 4, 2023, 1291m Skulptur
The Swiss year at its height in the form of a memorial sculpture. Apprentice surveyors from the Zurich building school installed a monument at 1291m above sea level in 1991 at the end of their 4-year apprenticeship as surveyors. Today, most hikers walk past the aging stone without even having seen it. It doesn't really stand out and on this path you have to be more careful where you step or you will stumble ☝🏻. The other highlight from this hiking trail is of course the wonderful view over the Schwarzsee, which is why most people stop to look down into the valley rather than up the slope with the sculpture 🤷🏻♂️. Were any of these young people later up here in the film? 🤔 😊 Link to the program "Schweiz aktuell" from 07.06.1991 https://www.srf.ch/play/tv/schweiz-aktuell/video/schwarzseegebiet?urn=urn:srf:video:b0ad344d-8cf7-4e02-9947-3be319a1c062

At the Dent de Lys you can often see ibex and chamois. The ibex colony here is the second largest in the canton of Friborg after the Vanil Noir. On average over the last few years, counts have always been around a hundred, while Vanil Noir has an average of 150 ibexes.

The island can be reached in spring. The reservoir is drained to collect the melting snow. This creates a connection between the island and the shore of Lac de Gruyere. Water level: https://www.groupe-e.ch/de/ueber-groupe-e/wasserstand-seen/gruyere
