Unfortunately, the upper part of this trail is no longer rideable because a large tree has fallen and is in the way (see photo). The tree will probably not be removed, and the surrounding area is increasingly looking like a jungle.

The lower part of the trail is completely destroyed by the harvester. Unfortunately, nothing is left of the single trail that meanders through the trees to Gierstädt. However, someone has started building some jumps in the trail of destruction 😇

The descent down the southern slope of the Drachenschwanz requires bike control and driving skills. Deeply washed out gullies are paired with a few steps and are garnished with plenty of loose rubble. An ideal line for descent without a brake can hardly be identified. Unless you have monster suspension travel and nerves like wire ropes, then the downhill is short but pretty awesome.
