The Southern Marble Fountain is an ornate fountain in the Herrenchiemsee Palace Park, forming the left end of the Baroque garden axis – almost a kilometer of symmetry and royal splendor. Location & Design It is located on the upper ground floor west of the palace. The fountain is richly decorated and made of fine marble. It complements the ensemble of large fountains: Latona, Fortuna, Fama, and the Northern Marble Fountain are located in the immediate vicinity. Visitor Experience The fountain is part of popular hiking and walking trails around the palace.
