A beautiful path along the Örtze River. Right by the water, narrow and close to nature. Just what you'd want. You'll need a sure footing, though. There are a lot of roots along the path.

Beautiful path along the Örtze river! Part of the Heidschnuckenweg between Müden and Poitzen. In summer and when it's hot, it's also popular with horseflies that lie in wait.

From the stairs behind the thermal baths, you can only get up by carrying your bike. The jokers who post such HL should think about what they are doing. I call that misleading

The so-called "beautiful trail" is definitely not a route for the "average cyclist." The path down by the Böhme River is constantly muddy. There's a second level in the forest, which is just about manageable with a trekking bike.

Whether that has to be called Fischteich Trail, I have no idea. It's more about the fact that someone thinks they have to set up a hiking trail as a trail for MTB enthusiasts. In any case, it is not easy to ride on a conventional bike. Not fastened, partly wet and slippery. That's right, it brings real joy! With a touring bike it is better to drive across, take a look at the location or ride a lap around the gorge. Otherwise it's more like an MTB, up and down is a bit more technically demanding. Just a tip.😉
