The tranquil atmosphere that accompanies the hike is particularly appealing – away from the hustle and bustle, you can immerse yourself in the forest and discover the beauty of nature. Along the way, you'll be accompanied not only by birdsong and the rustling of the trees, but also by the chance to catch a glimpse of the kingfisher, whose colorful plumage may be visible on the quieter sections of the trail. For those seeking peace and quiet amidst nature, the Kingfisher Trail offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the landscape on a well-marked route.

Good place to spend the night. The story of how the stone got its name is also very interesting: "According to legend, a farmer was determined to remove this gigantic stone from his field. No amount of effort and toil helped. He then made a pact with the devil and sold him his soul. The devil then took the stone and threw it with full force over the Klautzkesee, where it has remained to this day. The devil's horse paw and human claw can still be seen in the stone today."

Great facility with a playground, natural marble run and charging station for e-bikes and cell phones. Very well maintained and you meet nice people there too.

The largest and best-known boulder is the "Kobbelner Stein". In 1925 the 7.1 m long, 5.2 m wide and 4.5 m high "Colossus" was excavated. It has a circumference of approx. 25 m and weighs around 256 t. Elemental forces transported the granite stone from the Danish island of Bornholm to Kobbeln.

Impressively large stone!!! And a great rest stop.
