Sülze comes from the old German sulza for salt water. So you could also say salt water valley.

One could almost think, an entrance for bats?!

The salt springs are created by rising water through the salt-bearing mining rock underground.

Small tour through the salt landscape, but quite interesting.

Here at the board you also have the opportunity to park and start a tour through the Sülzetal.

This area monument has history: the boulder was stolen once and then put down again.

This is an area monument, which was placed under protection in 1939. Incidentally, you have a great view of the Harz Mountains and the Brocken from here.

Since I then turned off the guidance, I cannot mark the highlight. For me, next to the forest path, is the bubbling salt springs. The whole trail is beautiful.
