Sülze comes from the old German sulza for salt water. So you could also say salt water valley.

The salt springs are created by rising water through the salt-bearing mining rock underground.

Small tour through the salt landscape, but quite interesting.

Here at the board you also have the opportunity to park and start a tour through the Sülzetal.

Since I then turned off the guidance, I cannot mark the highlight. For me, next to the forest path, is the bubbling salt springs. The whole trail is beautiful.

Beautiful Sülzetal with the salt areas near Sülldorf. Can be easily traversed by bike and also for hiking along the signposted educational trail. At the end of August the Salzastern bloom and there is a beautiful play of colors over the salt marshes.
