How can the well-drained Suckower See overflow its banks? That's what we asked ourselves when we came along the lakeside path of Lake Plauer from the north and had to wade barefoot through the large puddles. The drainage ditch leads the water from the south bank of the lake into Lake Plauer. From the footbridge, the inconspicuous dam is in sight in the semi-darkness of the forest. It is advisable to bring a towel for your feet. Not only the beavers but also their sneaky structures are under protection. It is therefore questionable whether the section of the path will be drained again.

It was not clear why these things could be found here in the forest.

Unfortunately, an exact name of the source could not be determined. Does anyone know more?

The Plauer Stadtwald is a 315-hectare area and has been a nature reserve since 1996.
