New mountain bike trail in Ilmenau from the Bobhütte into the Gabelbachtal with over 60 chicanes over a length of 3 kilometers. Now completely rideable and absolutely recommended 👍🏻.

Really great trail. Thanks to the city of Ilmenau, which has invested a lot of money in this and the trails that follow 👍. I'm already looking forward to the last section, they're still busy building it. 🚧⚒️🚧

aha, I thought that looked like one, but there actually is one. That's the crowning end of the IXS descent. Anyone who rides down there has my respect

Nice little section past the lake and the end of the downhill route from Ilmenau.

Nice trail with one or the other root. In the direction of Ilmenau, be careful at the end because the path ends on a forest road, which is often taken as a shortcut.

Via the Eisenstieg it goes downhill through the thicket into the forest, where we encounter a world of fairies and trolls, pleasantly protected from the wind.

Historic ski jump that is now used as the finish line for the IXS Downhill Cup in Ilmenau. Mind you: The timing is only at the bottom of the hill, so that the drivers shoot over the jump at the top and then try to get down the ramp as quickly as possible. Just crazy to watch every time.
