A large boulder that is almost buried in the ground in the Grevenriede near Ebstorf is surrounded by a legend. Apparently the entire castle sank in a storm. The stone can still be seen today. Holdenstedt Castle is located near Uelzen in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is an imposing moated castle built in the Weser Renaissance style. The history of the castle dates back to the 16th century, when it was built by the von Cramm family. Over the centuries, the castle changed hands several times and was rebuilt and expanded several times.
