The Hohe-Flum Tower stands on the highest point of the Dinkelberg, at 535 meters above sea level. The 13.5-meter-high tower was built in 1874. Sixty-two steps lead up to the platform. From there, one has a magnificent panoramic view in all directions. To the south, one can see the Swiss Jura plateau and, in good weather, the Alps beyond. To the west, the view extends to the Vosges Mountains, and to the north and east, to the Black Forest. The Entegast, Zeller Blauen, Hohe Möhr, and other peaks are also visible.

A quiet summit. However, it's wooded and visibility isn't great.

The Höllschlucht is about 1.5km long and is an excellent backdrop for photo enthusiasts, easy to cross from spring to autumn.

The summit is evidently becoming increasingly lighter, there is already a swath towards Gresgen that promises a view. I thought today how nice it would be if the radio mast would also act as a lookout tower. After all, the mast is already visible from afar and could fulfill this secondary function wonderfully 😊

The Höllschlucht is an absolute highlight in the Lörrach district and you are alone there during the week.
