From here, there are several options for exploring the Kaiserstul: towards the Katharienenkapelle (St. Catherine's Chapel) or towards the Eichelspitzturm (Eichelspitz Tower).

Only the SUVs of the Kaiserstuhl residents, the motorcycle riders, and the village youth on mopeds are faster than the cyclists. But when the traffic is quieter, it's fun. It's nicer to head out of the Kaiserstuhl, towards Bötzingen, than the descent.

Very steep climb, but worth it

It's OK. But you don't have to make too much noise about this stretch of road.

The descent in the direction of Bötzingen is one of the few routes in a wide area on which you can reach speeds of more than 80 kilometers per hour relatively safely and this is also justifiable from the safety point of view. Although the Black Forest offers many roads with a higher gradient, these are often narrower and, above all, more curvy.
