The ruins of the summit castle are located in the western part of the Upper Palatinate on the mountain cone of 554.8 m above sea level. NN high Schlossberg, which rises about 150 meters above the valley of the Black Laaber. It is about 1.6 kilometers west-northwest of the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul in Beratzhausen, or about 25 kilometers northwest of Regensburg. Only the rampart and moat, the remains of the irregularly polygonal mountain ring and the gate, the ruins of two round towers and a semi-round tower as well as the remains of the walls and foundations of the residential wing of the former castle can still be seen on the castle hill. Beautiful trails, the driveway is strenuous but definitely worth the effort.

On the Schlossberg you can still see ramparts and moats, the remains of the created mountain ring and the gate, the ruins of two round towers and a semicircular tower, as well as the remains of walls and foundations of the residential wing of the castle.

Coming from the Linderhof you go into the trail after a barrier. The owner has stored his wood here on the left. The MTB handlebar fits well between the wood store and the barrier. Then go into the trail. Sometimes wide, sometimes narrow, well overgrown in summer. We always keep to the right at the edge of the forest. Not over the bridge but on the right. At the end there is another wood store at the mouse mill. Linkis goes to the mouse mill, straight on into the next trail.

Second local mountain after the Gößberg. The point is at the intersection between "Schwarzer Herrgott" and the sports field. Coming from the "Schwarzer Herrgott" left into the trail is the nicer way. Here is the track: https://www.komoot.de/highlight/1183021

Very nice trail. Rideable in both directions. It runs along the meadow for a bit at the end. UPDATE 11.08.2025): Komoot autocorrects it as "Singletrail near Breitenbrunn."
