From the König-Max-Höhe you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Bavarian Forest, Bohemian Forest

At the western end of the dam there is a beautiful lawn where you can swim. If you cross the dam and follow the narrow hiking path on the east side after the turnstile for about 1km, you will reach a small meadow. There you can also sunbathe naked in peace. When I visited in August 2024 there were only a few visitors and it was wonderfully quiet and relaxed.

The Stockbauersteig is a quick and easy way to continue the hiking trail on the Ilz. The path from the Trifttunnel would otherwise end in a dead end.

Yes, all three flow together here - the Inn, the Danube and the Ilz. Wonderful place up here.

The snow and rain have knocked down some trees here, making it relatively difficult to walk the Stockbauersteig at the moment.
