At the moment, it seems like a harvester has plowed through it again. It'll take another three years until it looks nice again.

If it has rained a lot in the previous days, it can be very muddy in shady corners. The leaves then make it very slippery.

The natural stage was built in 1950 in the former quarry, where the sandstone for the Melsung railway viaduct was quarried in the middle of the 19th century. However, after a short period of flowering, it was almost forgotten. But at the turn of the millennium it was brought out of its slumber and since 2003, open-air film screenings have taken place regularly in the summer months. The ASC-Melsungen bicycle trial area is located around the open-air stage. A memorial stone with the inscription “To the city forester PHILIPP STAHL for his services to the Lindenberg on his birthday July 2nd, 1911” still points to the initiator of the Lindenberg complex.

It is the hottest flow trail in East Hesse......6km beautifully along the slope which becomes uncomfortably steep further back.....one driving mistake and it will hurt.

Really great descent. With the current lighting conditions, you just don't see holes quite as well, so you have to be careful. 😉

The forest path leads slightly downhill from Dankeröde, constantly through wooded areas. Easy to navigate, but beware of fallen branches, otherwise there is a risk of flat feet. After rainy days, there are also a few puddles on the path, but with a bit of skill you can avoid them.

The trail, better P17, is currently not passable. The reason is fallen branches, which make the descent impassable over a longer distance. On premium hiking trails, there should always be mutual consideration between hikers and mountain bikers. However, it struck me here that the steps, which were fastened with pieces of wood, were considerably damaged on the way by being driven on with bicycles. In my opinion, this is not a good trail and you should avoid these sections out of consideration for those who keep up such trails!
