A somewhat strenuous ascent with a root stage that I couldn't ride with a bio drive. Once over it, then go again.

Please do not cycle over the steps, even if it is possible. The repairs to the stair wood are always very time-consuming, the wood is always turned a little by the braking effect and the fastening is loosened.

Coming from Zwieselberg, at least in the first third, still mobile with the MTB. Then it becomes increasingly steep, with steps and very narrow switchbacks. Beginners have to push the last two thirds to the bridge over the rear wheel. Possibly also mobile for experts and professionals. Pay attention to the handlebar width at the bridge (see note from Thomas). Coming from Roßhaupten I do not recommend taking the trail over to Zwieselberg, especially not with the E-MTB. You have to push, if not partially carry ...

Those who overcome the pasture fence at the beginning will then be rewarded with a beautiful single trail. Not too steep, a few roots here and there, but also very easy to master for beginners. Attention: About halfway there is a fallen tree, under which you have to go through - so keep your head down!

The trail is indicated on Komoot with S1. For beginners (which I also count myself among ...) very demanding. Very narrow, rooted and sometimes quite steep with heels that cannot be rolled off. I had to stop at least three or four times or push the rear wheel over a few passages. Can't imagine anyone coming down here without dropping off or pushing. Unimaginable for me when it is wet! Anyone who has a technical defect here - or even worse: injured themselves and needs help - has a serious problem, as the trail is quite far from any "civilization" (and not heavily frequented ...). So when in doubt, better to play it safe ...
