Evidence of extensive mining at the beginning of the 20th century in southern Siegerland.

Around this ruin you can have fun in the slag heaps. But be careful, the dust from the dumps is not free of toxins, which is why no grass grows here either.

A little lost place

As the many tire tracks show, it is a very popular place for mountain bikers.

Old remains of the Peterzeche crusher plant, which was partially blown up in the 1920s when the pit was closed in 1917. The whole Halden area, the remains of the buildings and the minerals and color of the water from zinc, lead and iron ore give a very unique picture of early industrialization on the entire site.

You can imagine yourself quite well in the history of mining. You can hardly understand the drudgery.
