The Warendorfer Davert is a valuable forest area south of Münster and part of the larger Davert landscape. It is characterized by its diverse flora and fauna and comprises the largest contiguous forest area in the region. The Davert is home to old oak, hornbeam and European white elm stands that provide a habitat for numerous endangered species, including over 100 breeding pairs of the middle spotted woodpecker. The forest has been partially protected thanks to donations and public funds in order to develop into a near-natural “primeval forest of tomorrow”.

Osthalde “local heritage” Ahlen is always worth walking, cycling and I personally like to enjoy the view in the morning around 7 a.m.

No trail, but a nice wide forest highway. Perfect for digging

With a moderate speed and in dry conditions, it was easy to ride even with a fully packed Gravel/MTB :)

There are currently so many trees across, it's probably more for 🚲 weight lifters or hikers

Osthalde of the former Westphalia colliery. Paths on the south side are now somewhat washed out. Not easy to take by bike. You can follow the Stations of the Cross on foot up to the plateau above and, when the weather is good, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view.

Beautiful paths, all options can be combined and the view is good. Ride MTB with no consideration
