Riding this 6 kilometer long old linden tree alley on the unpaved road by bike is very special, as such routes have become very rare. Yes, they are almost impossible to find anymore.

There is a well-kept pond with seating here. The name H. Dorn can be read on a large stone. It is said that this man bequeathed a piece of land to the town of Großau for recreational purposes. It is maintained by the owner, the Großau Association for the Promotion of the Village Community, which dredged and cleaned the pond, which is fed by springs and drainage water, in spring 2021 and regularly mows the meadows around it.

Wonderful gravel road between Speisendorf and Raabs / Th. The protected parts of the state road 8065 extend over the cadastral communities Alberndorf, Raabs an der Thaya and Speisendorf. An avenue of lime trees stretches along the state road, which is also protected as a natural monument in the three cadastral communities.

The freely accessible Thayatal Nature Park Dobersberg (200 ha) is located in the Waldviertel at the northern bend of the meandering Thaya. It goes through natural riparian forest and cultural landscape in a contrasting mixed situation of forest, meadow and field. The recreational forest area Dobersberg in the protected landscape Dobersberg was opened in June 1982 as "Thayatal-Nature Park Dobersberg". The bearer of the nature park is the club of the same name. The Waldviertler Hochland, where the nature park is located, was created by removing the ancient Bohemian-Herzynian mountain range. This part of the Waldviertel offers the visitor a wealth of newly discovered scenic attractions. The situation of the Waldviertel Thayalandschaft is characterized by foothills of the Montanen zone, Central European lowland zone and Pannonian zone. This causes a variety of flora and fauna.
