The Ramssattel connects the Feistritztal with the Schwarzatal in Lower Austria. From Kirchberg it is around 4.5 kilometers and 270 meters in altitude on the saddle, from Gloggnitz it is around eight kilometers and 450 meters in altitude. Both driveways lead up via serpentines. They are comfortable to drive and the road surface is new. Especially steep ramps do not surprise the cyclist. The incline always remains within a comfortable range. Vehicle traffic is not a major problem.

If you want to cross the Semmering quickly and still have many kilometers ahead of you, the busy road is recommended for better or worse. The low-traffic variant is beautiful, a welcome refreshment on hot days, but as the name suggests, it is rather exhausting.

Quite leisurely until Prein. From Prein then 8-11%. It's a bit down to business. But you are rewarded with a view.
