General information for the connection between the L4184 (e.g., coming from St. Peter) over to Mönichkirchen, as of August 2025: This consists of the "Sauriegel route" (Sauriegel route), and at this point you turn onto the "Heldstübl route." This means that without Komoot as your navigation system, you have no chance in the forest. Then you have to pass under an electric cattle fence. Here's the locked gate with the difficult passage. I was sure I was completely wrong and mentally prepared myself for conflicts with hunters and foresters.

The downhill bike trail is a fast trail with a few small hills and a lot of gently sloping bends. It is very fun to drive and you can practice your high-speed cornering techniques and pumps to generate speed very well here! A fun "trail" with a gravel surface that can be used by anyone.

Top flow trail! Beautifully shaped, maintained and provided with some nice tables! Perfect for practicing cornering technique and for gaining confidence when sending ;) or in the air! Puts a smile on the face of both beginners and very good bikers!

Starting from the Almrauschhütte to the mountain lift station. Mostly natural. Root and stone fields and smaller steps are to be found more often, sporadically also one or the other steep curve.

Super fluid flow trail that I really love, especially if it runs from the reservoir to the start of the jump line. In the middle part I prefer the jump line, because I get the worm from the many consecutive curves ;-)

Towards the end there is a larger root field, which is probably the biggest challenge of the trail. However, you can bypass this by using the hiking trail to the right of the forest!

The Hochwexl "The WU" Trail is 2.7 km long and descends 265 meters to the Marienseer Schwaig. The route is part of the "Wexl Trails" network, so you need a ticket, which you can buy at the Wetterkoglerhaus, for example. The route is actually classified as "blue, easy." It flows smoothly, and you can also "give it some gas." However, with the many large rocks along the trail, you have to be very careful with your line selection. Since there are a few tricky sections, I find the trail a bit challenging overall. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for beginners. You should have some technical experience and the right bike. Otherwise, it's a really cool trail that's a lot of fun! Definitely try it out if you're in the area!

The "Heidstübl" was built here in 1755 for the cultivation and processing of hemp. Today you can see no more remains of it. A plaque reminds of the location. Some mountain bike trails run past here.
