1월 18, 2026, Pilgrims' Cross on Kürnberg Summit
The pilgrim's cross is easily accessible from the Kürnbergerwald parking lot. Today the path was a bit slippery in places due to the frozen and melted snow – hiking poles are advisable at the moment. But the panorama of the winter landscape is simply magnificent! 🤩 Definitely worth a hike.

The Koglerauer Spitz is a 685 meter high mountain. The view, especially of the Danube, is not that fantastic due to the tall trees. But the path from Pöstlingberg with the Alpine panorama is really great.

Koglerauer Spitz is a 685 meter high mountain in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria. It lies on the border between the communities of Puchenau and Gramastetten, near the town of Großamberg. It is a popular excursion mountain near the state capital Linz. At its summit there is a summit cross and a rest area with a wonderful view of the Danube and the Eferdinger Basin. There are various hiking trails that lead to the Koglerauer Spitz. One option is to follow the Bleicherbachtal from Ottensheim and then reach the summit via a steep climb. The hike takes about 3 hours there and back and is moderately difficult. Another option is to do the 3 streams - 4 mountains tour from Gramastetten, which leads over the Koglerauer Spitz. This hike is a little longer and more demanding, takes about 5 hours and offers beautiful views of the Mühlviertel landscape. If you like hiking, you can also try the Danube Trail, which runs along the north bank of the Danube and over the Koglerauer Spitz. This long-distance hiking trail is 288 kilometers long and divided into several stages. It offers a varied mix of nature, culture and history along the river.

Great value 𝚍 526m ~ A stainless steel sculpture with a reflective ball at the cross point adorns the highest point of the castle area, the local mountain of the Leondinger and Wilheringer. Definitely worth a visit.😉☀️🧡

It was so small you could almost miss it. The small summit cross on the Kürnberg, which was erected in a clearing between individual trees and bushes, now has a lot of competition. Because the Leonding Seniors' Association moved out with tractor and shovel to erect a new monument on the local mountain of the communities of Leonding and Wilhering. Now a stainless steel sculpture adorns the highest point of the Kürnberg Forest.

Ridge located on the north-west outskirts of Leonding. Wooded and local recreation area for the people of Linz. Highest mountain in the Linz-Land district.

10월 29, 2022, Heiliges Bründl (Holy Spring) at Pöstlingberg
This spring belongs to the Petrinium. The source used to donate the water for the school and boarding school for several decades now. Over the years, the natural grotto has developed into an unofficial place of worship. Whether it is actually the legendary "origin" of the pilgrimage to the Pöstlingberg has not been proven. Although modified by the Maximilian fortifications, the Pöstlingberg was definitely a pre-Christian place of worship because of its dominant position and the similarity to other cult mountains in the area. Näpfchensteine and a bowl stone were found at the edge of the Mayrwiese. ... Near the 5th Station of the Cross on the Pöstlingberg "a rock structure, in whose cracks and crevices all kinds of plants grow rampant. At the foot of the wall there is a natural shallow pool with fresh, clear spring water. It has physically and chemically good, very soft water. People call the water the sacred Bründl. It has a reputation for healing sick eyes. Many people go to this water source, moisten and wash their eyes. ..." as far as an article from the Volksblatt, year 1952, where Franz Harrer's pilgrimage to the Pöstlingberg is quoted.
