The second waterfall at Marinka is a wide and very photogenic cascade, surrounded by dense vegetation and with pools where you can cool off after your hike. Access is easy via a well-marked trail from Minca, although it can be slippery after rain. It's a perfect spot to rest in the shade and enjoy the jungle atmosphere.

This trail allows you to observe the landscape in a different way, through small holes created in the rocks.

The archaeological park of San Augustin contains the most stone sculptures. Enormous tombs, demons carved from volcanic rock, and an enigmatic cult spring bear witness to a centuries-old advanced civilization amidst lush green vegetation.

La Escalera Waterfall, located near the town of Jardín, is a series of terraced waterfalls cascading through lush tropical vegetation. Its verdant surroundings and the constant sound of the water create an ideal setting for relaxation and nature observation. It's a perfect destination for hiking and photography enthusiasts, with trails leading to its various pools and natural viewpoints.

The Cloud Forest Waterfall is a hidden gem nestled among mountains covered in lush vegetation, at an altitude of 2,490 meters. It is accessed from the Cocora Valley via the Cocora-Estrella de Agua trail, following the Quindío River. Waterproof footwear is essential, and please note that there is an entrance fee for both access and parking, as the waterfall is located on private property.

The Cocora Valley, located in the heart of Quindío, is one of Colombia's most iconic landscapes. Surrounded by mountains and shrouded in the characteristic mist of the Andean forest, this valley is renowned for its towering wax palms, a national symbol and protected species. It forms part of Los Nevados National Natural Park, guaranteeing the conservation of its unique flora and fauna. Its cool, humid climate, with frequent rains, creates an ideal environment for hiking among the mountains and natural viewpoints. Waterproof footwear and warm clothing are recommended, as the terrain is often damp year-round.

On the long walk (15km), be careful at km 8.63! Several trees have fallen due to a landslide, completely obliterating the path. This means you'll have to scramble and find your way through the woods. Date: July 27, 2025.
