A relaxing place, also suitable for a short walk.

Created in the 15th century for fish farming, Hauptwil's five ponds are now an idyllic local recreation area and are protected. The Horbacher Weier is the middle of the five ponds.

The Vinzenzbrunnen, by sculptor Kurt Grabert from Göppingen, was installed in 1984. Many Old Immenstaaders can still remember Vincenz, the “strong Vincenz”, the “power for two hot”. He was one of the sailors who, at the turn of the century, transported loads and goods up and down the lake on sailing ships, the “Lädinen”. Together with his “Chrischtine” he lived “back upstairs” in the Sworn House. There are five picturesquely beautiful ponds between Hauptwil and Wilen/Gottshaus. The hiking trail is also very beautiful!

The caves are exciting and, according to the reservation slip, are often rented for overnight stays. In front of the caves or the impressive Nagelfluhwand, a very cool but sometimes challenging path leads through. Certainly not suitable for everyone under 80 because it also includes a very short climbing section.

Driving is prohibited in Hudelmoos. So park your bike and set off on foot!

You can leave your bike here (if necessary even chain it to the no-biking sign) and then explore the Hudelmoos on foot. You should plan an hour for this.
