The mountain restaurant is a great place to stop for a meal. The service is very friendly, and the food is fresh and very good.

A cool descent. Very rocky with lots of loose, sharp rocks. This is exactly what a bike trail should be. Pure nature. Not a groomed highway. 👍

Varied and rocky, but also very flowy towards the end.

This trail is a real pleasure, but you have to be careful when it's wet and there are leaves!

Because of rockfall, two small detours via alpine hiking trails are necessary (S3). For most people this means pushing, but it only takes about 15 minutes. The detour is marked with red and white posts and leads back to the path. I wouldn't do the route uphill, though.

Also sensational to drive in winter: Since it is on the north side of the Mueterschwandenberg, the ground is mostly frozen and there are hardly any muddy spots (quite different from before the start of the trail, where you have to go up to the vantage point... the meadow near the Drachenflue is a mud field with a little bit of sun). There are many leaves; If you like to see the ground in detail while driving, summer is definitely recommended. The larger stones at pedal height can be seen despite the leaves and snow.
