The climb is worth it! The view and peace are a dream

When the trees and mountains are reflected in the lake, it is especially fun to sit on the shore for a while and watch the hustle and bustle.

A very easy trail from the Morteratsch train station to the glacier's 2015 elevation, marked at this point. The bike route ends here, and further cycling is impossible; the only way forward is on foot. The current glacier tongue isn't visible from here, however, as it's hidden behind rocks. There are many hikers on the same route, but the trail is relatively wide.

Tough cycle route, lots of walkers. If you do go, take a bicycle lock with you because the last half hour can be walked alone.
