The Dalfazer waterfall is by far the highest waterfall on Lake Achensee. The water plunges over 60 meters into the depths. This is an impressive natural experience, especially after the snow melts in early summer. You have a great view of the waterfall from a wooden viewing platform. The via ferrata is to the right of the waterfall.

The Dalfazer Waterfall Via Ferrata is a scenically impressive via ferrata right next to the Dalfazer Waterfall. A short, interesting training tour, but the long D passage is quite challenging. Recommended in combination with a family hiking trip, where the experienced via ferrata hiker briefly branches off to the via ferrata and continues the hike at the exit. Via ferrata set and helmet are absolutely necessary.

The local mountain at Tegernsee 😁 Well attended on weekends and public holidays. In winter, Grödel is recommended for the last 100 meters in altitude.

Good hiking trails lead from the valley station of the mountain railway or from the Enterrottach-Valepp toll road (starting point there at the Monialm) to the summit area. Of course, there is also easy access by mountain railway, which means that the Wallberg is often well populated. Nevertheless, on the way to the summit, the wheat from the chaff separates somewhat, because some short passages below the summit plateau are not entirely without - here you have to get rid of sticks and tackle. The areas on both sides of the panorama restaurant serve as runways for paragliders, whose drivers are often watched. You can also spend the night in the Alten Wallberghaus below the summit.

Waterfalls can be reached in 10 minutes from the car park. The hiking trail always runs directly uphill along the falls.

Anyone can climb up to the first waterfall without hesitation. Even with children. However, to complete the Josefstaler waterfall circuit, I recommend sturdy shoes, as the path is very well trodden and very slippery, especially in damp weather.
