The Barbarossa spring in the eastern Bulau below the Buchenkopf is named after the Staufer Emperor Friedrich I, who, according to tradition, is said to have been hunting here from the imperial palace of Gelnhausen.
The Ketzelburg was once a medieval castle stable. You can still see the last surviving remains of the castle. Numerous information boards provide further information about this time. 😊
