We started in the rain at the Verpeil Hut. At this altitude, the rain turned into sleet. CAUTION! There was a large rockfall to the right of the steel ladders that day. We had to abort the tour and turn back. Other hikers also reported that one of the two ladders was loose. Caution and alpine experience are essential!

Please note that the tunnel may be closed seasonally and not accessible during these periods. In 2019, it was easy to climb, even without climbing equipment. However, sure-footedness is required.

I am trying to explain this route. It says everywhere that a lot of alpine experience is required. We do have a lot of hiking experience and also experience with via ferrata but not at t5 level. Can someone tell me if this is possible?

As of October 2024, it is still only accessible to the daredevils. Only a jump on wet stones or balancing on a 4 m long narrow beam would have brought us to the other side of the stream.
