This is certainly a beautiful trail for mountain bikers and hikers. It's not recommended for gravel bikes.

There is currently a fallen tree on the first third of the trail, so you have to lift your bike over it.

I think it's very nice here. It's fun to drive around here. 👍

The Walter-Lohmann-Ring is a cycling training facility and is available to all cyclists free of charge. It's worth doing a lap by bike. Walter Lohmann, member of the "RV Sturmvogel 04" in Bochum, was the most popular German stayer from the 1930s to the 1950s. In 1927 he started as a road driver. As an amateur he won the races Berlin-Cottbus-Berlin, Bochum-Münster-Bochum, Rund um Dortmund in 1932 and finished sixth at the UCI Road World Championships for amateurs in the same year. He then switched to the track and in 1934 won the six-day race in Berlin. From 1938 to 1953 he was ten times German stayer champion of the professionals, 1935 and 1947 he was runner-up. In 1952 he won silver again at the World Championships in Paris. Overall, he won more than 600 races in his career.
