The path was built as part of the land management project for forest management. Wide enough to be usable with a little consideration for pedestrians and bikers.

From Mittelberg to the Max-Hütte (beautiful rustic alp), it is worth stopping off. Continue on the panorama path, past the Sonnen-Alp to the Heuberg. The ascent to the Max-Hütte is tough, otherwise it is easy to walk.
