Nice and quite easy alternative to the road.

Opened in summer 2025, the trail starts at 2,429 meters above sea level at the Furka Pass – one of the highest paved Alpine passes in Switzerland – and descends approximately 12 kilometers with 1,060 meters of vertical drop to Oberwald in the Goms region. The Furka Pass can be reached by post bus from Realp or Oberwald. Mountain bikers can expect a combination of alpine trails, military and forest roads, with moderately technical sections. Views of the Rohne Glacier, the Grimsel Pass, and the Goms high valley provide a diverse and photogenic backdrop. (ride)

I wouldn't describe this trail as a "single trail", it's actually really wide. The difficulty comes from the stones and the holes.

Beautiful path perfect for MTB that runs along the lake.

In fact, everyone comes down here safely. Push a few meters if necessary. It gets steep up there. The Swiss build great paths, unlike ours, the DAV.
