The bicycle crossing is on the western side (with a view of the Seerhein). The crossing, as well as the access and exit, is somewhat difficult (partly narrow and winding). Of these, 47 km² belong to Germany (Baden-Württemberg), and the remaining 13 km² to the Swiss cantons of Thurgau and Schaffhausen.
