It is located between the Coll de Gomara and the Alto de Santa Fe del Montseny. It is a beautiful area with very wide panoramic views of the province of Girona. On its southern slope, there is hardly any difficulty since it is reached by descending from the top of Santa Fe and with a short final climb of 1 km. On the other hand, on its northern slope it is very hard, with almost 2.5 km at 7.7% on average, and a first initial straight when taking a detour at the Coll de Gomara of 11%.

It's best to climb this on the steep side. The road surface is good enough for climbing, but I wouldn't like to descent on it. Also, the first half is very steep. Long climb with spectacular views on the southern side. And a good amount of forest which provides a bit of cover from the sun during the summer. Towards the upper part, it is possible to turn off on a small road, to connect other side, or continue up to Turó do l'Home. I prefer descenting on the southern side, so that you really get to enjoy the views.

A great climb that is a little brisk in gradient. The descent is a little bumpy so take care.

A gloriously rewarding climb from both directions. Starting in La Garottxa, from St Privat d'en Bas it's a brutal HC cat climb with irregular but wicked steep gradients and a far from perfect road surface, although doable with a road bike. From Osona side, it's a perfect road surface and far more forgiven cat 1 climb, but the last few Kms bite!

Tough little climb, great for efforts. Descending the road surface is a little bumpy so take care, often has rockfall on it.

Great climb for a steady effort, consistent gradient, the first 4km is a slightly higher gradient than the last 4. For the Strava segment make sure you push hard passed the house at the top because the actual top is just passed km 22!
