The Almiros Gorge is accessible from the east side about 2 km on a path. There are 2 chapels on this way. At the second chapel, however, the path ends through a locked gate.

Very nice, deep blue reservoir. Unfortunately fenced and not accessible. From the street you still have a nice view.

The lake has an impressive blue color. Also around the lake, the area is very pretty. For tourists in Amoudara a walk here is certainly a nice change to the beach and souvenir shops.

A hike to the nearby mountains is worthwhile for holidaymakers in and around Amoudara. The view over the sea over the area to Iraklio is great. The way on foot is a bit difficult because some highways are difficult to avoid. Often hikers encounter large fenced areas that interrupt the planned path.
