A long gravel trip on the eastern shore of the Szczecin Lagoon is rewarded with these great views and lots of wildlife. Today, for example, we disturbed a sea eagle that laboriously but impressively rose into the air.

The hill on which the remains of barrows from the 9th-10th centuries were discovered. The uncovered mounds were in surprisingly good condition, they were only covered with wind-blown sand. There is a hypothesis that the legendary city of Jomsborg was located on the top of this hill. And the name "Hanged Man's Hill" appeared much later, when convicts began to be hanged here.

The Monument to the Victims of Fascism in the Police Land is a monument commemorating the forced laborers of the Hydrierwerke Pölitz gasoline factory who died in camps built in Trzeszczyn and in the vicinity of Police. Probably around 13,000 died there during World War II. people. People died because of the weakening of the organism, exhaustion through hard work, and there were also cases of murder there. The creator of the monument, the Polish sculptor Mieczysław Welter, designed and made a work that was to show the suffering and exhaustion of the several thousand prisoners who lost their lives in nearby German camps. The sculpture was officially unveiled on April 23, 1967, showing two starved, tormented and suffering figures, standing on their feet with the last of their strength. Right next to the monument, on its right side, there is a concrete block with a plaque on which the Grunwald Cross is visible. The monument is clearly visible from the road, you can stop next to it and sit on one of the several benches in front of it.
