Freudenau ruins were built around 1240. The former lowland castle, then a small town, is located on the right bank of the Aare in the municipality of Untersiggenthal. It is freely accessible and has two barbecue areas with tables and benches. A quiet place to linger. You can walk all the way around the ruins.
