Wildcat Falls Conservation Area is a great place for mountain biking and hiking. There are many spots along the river where you can relax and picnic. This road rounds the beautiful landscape of the Wapack National wildlife refuge. It offers the opportunity to ride along the forest and have a nice day out outdoor.

This area of woodland that incorporates Worcesters Millpond, is part of the Beaver Brook Association, a 4000 acre conservation area run by a non-profit organization to promote and educate people on natural areas. You will find a pull off area alongside the road at the Old City Trailhead should you decide to take a break or discover the local woods.

As such, there can be limited parking available, especially during the summer. If the parking lot is full it's worth coming back another time to not only see the falls, but also explore the walking/running/biking trails in this 87-acre patch of pine and hardwood forest.

Mill Pond is a fishable pond right off the Nashua River. It is dammed by the Mine Falls Dam, a small hydroelectric energy dam. Kayaks can be put in on a gravely shore, and hikers can border it on the south side via the Red Trail and the north side on the Mill Pond Trail. In the fall the trees change color and it's a peaceful area to enjoy.

Pack Monadnock Mountain is the highest peak of the Wapack Mountain Range at 2,290 feet. From the top, there is a great view of the valleys around and the other nearby peaks. There is a road that leads to the peak, so there is parking, restrooms and water.
