Boulder City is a great place to stay for easy access to the Bootleg trails. You can use the dreamy bike paths to head up to the trails.

3 Mile Smile is a popular mountain biking and hiking trail. The trail leads up to a great view of Las Vegas. It is most common for mountain bikers to ride this trail down from the view point, so if you are walking the path, make sure to keep an eye out for other trail users.

Girl Scout is a popular intermediate mountain bike trail that connects the lower part of Bootleg Canyon to the upper. This trail can be ridden both directions and is popular in both directions, so be aware of others as you ride.

Caesar's is a 3.5 mile mountain biking trail in the northwest corner of the Bootleg Canyon Area. This trail is usually accessed via Earnie's or Mother, and is often completed as part of the larger Railroad Loop. This trail is loose, rocky, and dry and is quite the workout!

Permagrin (or Perma Grin) is one of the most popular trails in the Bears Best Trail system that should be ridden from south to north (downhill). Permagrin is comprised of a series of fun washes and gullies that create undulating bumps that skirt the side of the mountain.

Bomb Voyage is one of the hardest, most technical trails in the Cowboy Trail System. It is also the longest descent from the top of the system. This rowdy trail has loose rocks, loose gravel/ scree, and very steep sections and drops. Bomb Voyage runs from the overlook, down along a large shoulder with amazing views of Red Rock and Las Vegas. Along with skill and confidence, knee pads and dropper posts are a must. As you continue down the trail the steep, sudden drops continue until you hit a series of very tight switchbacks before rolling out of drainage and continuing toward the trailhead.

The Oh So Lonely Trail is a rocky, moderately challenging singletrack trail around Lone Mountain and offers a more technical route around the peak. Unlike the main Lone Mountain Equestrian Loop, you don't have to share this trail with horses and casual walkers, only hikers and other mountain bikers. This trail suffered some damage (but is still doable) from the 2023 flooding, so just be aware of large runoff ditches as you ride.

White Rino is a more technical section of trail, often completed as the first, or last, part of the 3 Mile Smile. This rocky section of trail is bookended by smoother singletrack on either side of it.
