Clean and well-kept beach surrounded by high rocks. To the left on the rock is a dilapidated old fort. Parking spaces directly on the beach are sometimes scarce. We also recommend a stroll through the narrow streets with beautifully restored old houses in Burgau.

Sturdy shoes are an advantage, there are wooden footbridges but sometimes there are rocks. Hiking trails are signposted.

Well-known surfing beach - with surfing school. Location of the film "A Summer in the Algarve". The red rocks at the northern end of the beach are characteristic.
