The village is tiny and really beautiful, in a amazing nature. The thermal centre is a bit old fashioned but has the charm of the old sanatoriums and the water is very sweet

The statue at the Foia Summit depicts the 2022 World Champion in road cycling Remco Evenepoel (BE) winning a stage on that very spot during the “Volta ao Algarve 2020”. Evenepoel won the Tour of the Algarve in 2020 and again in 2022.
