In just a few years, he became a multimillionaire and became known as "The Pollen King." As a generous donor, he helped, among other things, the Ängelholm ice hockey club "Rögle BK" achieve promotion to the first division. It wasn't until 26 years after the encounter in the forest, in 1972, that he publicly reported the UFO sighting and had this small memorial erected. In 2003, Gösta Carlsson died at the age of 85.
